Since it's inception, NICE UP! Records has strived to represent all shades of modern dance music that has somehow or somewhere been influenced by the rich musical output of Jamaica and reggae music. The bass, the skank, the energy and vibe of island music is no more prevalent than in Jungle and Drum & Bass. From the early and rudimental mid 90s cuts speeding up and sampling roots reggae and dancehall, to the more current crop of artist directly working with Jamaican artists, the connection is clear.
